.40-caliber handgun loaded with 9mm bullets "saves life" (5th article down). Magic handgun doesn't fire, yet still ejects spent shells?

What the hell? You'd think that a cop should be one of the first people to realize that the thing can't eject a shell if the round didn't fire.

It probably did fire, but got stuck in the barrel because of its much larger size.

Except 9mm is smaller..

Hmm... Maybe because the bullets were so small, the gun absorbed them. Slowly making it even more powerfull and deadly!

That sounds about as believable as the story anyway...
