The Last Day on Earth

Historically, October 30th has been a very bad day for me, at least for the past two years. First, it was the sewer backup, then it was the driveline failure on my truck, both of which cost me several thousand dollars. I'm normally not superstitious, but I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I keep trying to think of what could possibly go wrong, and unfortunately, I can think of several very terrible things. The problem with that is that all the things I can think of are predictable, while the things that have happened in the past were completely unforseeable. I'm just hoping that tomorrow passes by uneventfully.

Phew. We survived.
