Cry babies go home

I find it humorous (well, more like ridiculous) that since polygamy has been tolerated in Utah for so long, the people who have been getting away with it are now complaining that it's being cracked down upon.

"This is very similar to the prosecutions of that time," said Colorado City Mayor Daniel Barlow. "I thought we had moved past the 1880s -- but apparently we haven't."

"We are used to being persecuted for our religion," Barlow said. "We feel like we will withstand this if we obey our God."

This guy believes that his minion, who is being charged with unlawful sex with a minor, is simply being persecuted for his beliefs. C'mon, what do they expect? The guy, who was 32 years old at the time, married and had sex with his first wife's 16 year old sister. I'm sure if they continue "obeying their God," that everything will be ok--God will keep an eye out for them in Federal Pound Me in the Ass Prison.

Comments

I really wish people would stop using religon as an excuse to break the Laws.

It's detestable.
