Crap...I just checked the status of my CDRW drive on the website that I bought it from, and they say it tested ok and they sent it back. I know for a fact that the drive has some sort of problem, although it's an intermittent problem. I had it working one day, and the next day, without me even touching the thing, it was acting as though it wasn't getting any power. Hell, I've had my old CD-ROM drive attached to the same IDE and power cables for years and haven't had a single problem, and it's connected to those same cables now without any problems. I know damn well I'm going to have to send the thing back in again, and I'm gonna be pissed as hell when it happens. If they don't pay for the shipping this time, I'm going to go ballistic.
