IE6

I downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 6 yesterday, and this morning I uninstalled it and restored IE5.5. It was causing Word and Excel to crash all the time. The only advantage over IE5 that I noticed was the ability to block cookies based on certain security settings--specifically, third-party cookies, such as those from porn sites that you probably don't want on your computer. ;)

Until they come out with a newer version, hopefully with some bug fixes that will let me run it on my machine without any problems, I'll just stick with IE5.5.

Comments

Hmm thats wierd. I also installed IE6 last night. Some other changes include the Media Bar and a new (I guess) icon. I think this was made more for XP, when that is realeased, rather than 98/ME.
