UDOT says they've committed something like $80 million to make US-6 between Price and Spanish Fork safer. So far, the only thing they've got planned is to re-pave the widest, longest, safest stretch of passing lanes. Instead of making the road safer by widening and straightening out the narrow winding parts of the highway, they're making the ride a little smoother on the part where you're least likely to get killed. That's some smart thinking...
