There's only one thing about owning a home that's worse than renting an apartment, and that's not having a landlord to call when something goes wrong. The plastic bolts that hold the tank to the base of the toilet came loose, and about a half-inch of water was standing on the floor when I found out about it. It didn't do any permanent damage, but it was a pain in the ass to clean up. At least it wasn't water out of the bowl...
