I went down to check on my truck today, and it's still in pieces. The mechanic said they had to ship some parts away to be machined, and they wouldn't be back until Monday, when they would begin reassembly. So instead of it taking three weeks, it looks more like it'll be five.

Since my carburetor was a total piece of shit, it's being replaced by a Holley 4 barrel. My clutch was almost shot, so it's getting replaced too. The clutch should be pretty damn cheap, since the engine is already out of the truck and everything is easy to get to. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm into this truck another 4 grand (on top of the $1,300 I paid for it) by the time it's finished. I hope it's worth it.
